Much of the food waste from your kitchen and organic waste from your lawn is valuable. Don't throw it away with the rest of the trash that goes to the landfill. Those egg shells, veggie scraps, and dead leaves just add to the mounds of compacted garbage at the dump, but in your backyard they can be used to create a rich compost for gardening--"gardener's gold!"
